Krassimir’s paintings are realistic with an hyperrealistic touch. His paintings are often emotional and expressive. The figures in his paintings express more presence than action. 

Krassimir Kolev is born in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He started his artstudies in Bulgaria but in 1991 he moved to Vienna, Austria, to attend the Academy of Art. He first studied for Joannis Avramidis and then Michelangelo Pistoletto. He got his Master of Art degree in 1998. Now he lives in Sweden together with his wife Lena and their daughter Matilda.
